What is the attendance policy for horseheads high school? ›

Regular attendance is a condition for successful completion of all your courses. Your teachers are responsible for an accurate record of daily attendance in classes. Students must meet the 85% attendance rate established by our Board of Education Policy 5100.

Time: The Intermediate School schedule is 8:25 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. Students who arrive to school after 8:25 a.m. will be marked as tardy. PTO: Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meets one Tuesday of each month (generally the third Tuesday) at 6:00 p.m. in the library.

Nevada state law states that students can't miss more than 10% of the scheduled school days in any school year. Most Nevada school districts have 180 days in a school year, meaning your child cannot miss more than 18 days or they may have to repeat a class or a grade.
